COVID-19 Notification

Members of the Rensselaer City School District Community:

Our school has been informed by the Rensselaer County Department of Health that two students have been diagnosed with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). They are a 2nd grade student that has not been in the building since October 15 and a 9th grade student that has not been in the building since October 28th.  These cases represent no new exposure and no new risk related to attending school.

We continue to work closely with the Rensselaer County Health Department.  We will follow the NYSDOH established A, B, C’s of contact tracing and the NYSDOH school guidance.

As an important reminder, please do not enter the building if you do not meet the screening criteria.  If you have been in direct contact with a COVID-19 positive person, do not come in.  If you have been tested for COVID-19 and are awaiting results, do not come in.  If you have traveled out of state per the NYS travel advisory list, do not come in.  If you are experiencing any new or unexpected COVID-19 symptoms, do not come in.

Thanks in advance to all of you for helping and doing your part to keep the community safe.  We want to do everything that we can to keep school open, our #fRAMily together, and continue live instruction safely.
