COVID-19 Notification

Members of the Rensselaer City School District Community:

Our school has been informed by the Rensselaer County Department of Health that an 8th grade student has been diagnosed with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). This student has not been in the building for weeks.  There is no new exposure and no new risk in attending school related to this case.

We continue to work closely with the Rensselaer County Health Department.  We will follow the NYSDOH established A, B, C’s of contact tracing and the NYSDOH school guidance.

As an important reminder, please do not enter the building if you do not meet the screening criteria.  If you have been in direct contact with a COVID-19 positive person, do not come in.  If you have been tested for COVID-19 and are awaiting results, do not come in.  If you have traveled out of state per the NYS travel advisory list, do not come in.  If you are experiencing any new or unexpected COVID-19 symptoms, do not come in.

Thanks in advance to all of you for helping and doing your part to keep the community safe.  We want to do everything that we can to keep school open, our #fRAMily together, and continue live instruction safely.
