Meal Deliveries Canceled

Members of the Rensselaer City School Community,

We have been notified by the Rensselaer County Department of Health that a 10th grade student has been diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus.  This student is has been on remote instruction and has not been in the building.  This case poses no new risk or exposure.

We have also been notified that a member of our food service team has been diagnosed with COVID-19.  Upon the completion of contact tracing, no students have been identified as contacts.  Due to work in the kitchen, however, all of our food service team is now in quarantine.  Unfortunately, this means that there will be no home meals available over break.  All deliveries and pickups have been canceled.

We apologize for any inconvenience.  The district will continue to work closely with the Rensselaer County Health Department.  We will follow the NYSDOH established A, B, C’s of contact tracing and the NYSDOH school guidance
