Members of the Rensselaer City School District Community:
Our school is informing parents and guardians that an elementary teacher has been diagnosed with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). This person was last on school premises on December 23rd. All students identified as contacts have already been called this by our nurse with specific quarantine instructions.
We were also notified of two students that have been on remote instruction. These cases pose no new exposure or risk.
As an important reminder, please do not enter the building if you do not meet the screening criteria. If you have been in direct contact with a COVID-19 positive person, do not come in. If you have been tested for COVID-19 and are awaiting results, do not come in. If you have traveled out of state per the NYS travel advisory list, do not come in. If you are experiencing any new or unexpected COVID-19 symptoms, do not come in.
Thanks in advance to all of you for helping and doing your part to keep the community safe. We want to do everything that we can to keep school open, our #fRAMily together, and continue live instruction safely.
