COVID-19 Update

Members of the Rensselaer City School District,

We have been notified that a Jr/Sr high school student has been diagnosed with COVID-19.  This person was last in the building today.  All contact tracing has been completed.  Our nurse is currently contacting the parents of each student that had contact.  She will go over appropriate quarantine expectations and answer any questions for each family.

We continue to work closely with the Rensselaer County Health Department.  We will follow the NYSDOH established A, B, C’s of contact tracing and the NYSDOH school guidance.

As an important reminder, please do not enter the building if you do not meet the screening criteria.  If you have been in direct contact with a COVID-19 positive person, do not come in.  If you have been tested for COVID-19 and are awaiting results, do not come in.  If you have traveled out of state per the NYS travel advisory list, do not come in.  If you are experiencing any new or unexpected COVID-19 symptoms, do not come in.

Thanks in advance to all of you for helping and doing your part to keep the community safe.  We want to do everything that we can to keep school open, our #fRAMily together, and continue live instruction safely.
