Students and Parents,
Football preseason is here. It is time to sign up if you are planning on playing. Please sign up in the health office by email or by calling Tammy Slingerland the school nurse. We will offer free physicals this summer for athletes who need them.
At this point only 15 varsity players have signed up for the fall. We do have a merger with Loudonville Christian School for next season, but we are unsure of how many athletes we will get in the first year. More athletes have told us they plan to play, but they need to sign up. We have put out multiple notices these past two months but we need more response. Please respond to this by signing up so we can plan for the season and get our athletes ready to play. Without more sign-ups we are again in jeopardy of not having a season.
We are offering preseason activities consisting of strength & agility training as well as limited non-contact football training. Workouts began on Monday May 3rd and are held on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3pm-4:30pm in May and June. In the coming weeks as we build our roster, we will post a schedule of events.
On behalf of myself, Coach Bill Spath, Coach Matt Hine, Coach Will Deruve and the rest of our school community, I would like to welcome you, and express our appreciation to you for joining us.
Rensselaer High School Football has a Tradition of winning through hard work and high moral character. Family, School, and Football is how we would like our athletes to prioritize their lives. Winning is very important to us but not nearly as much as teaching young athletes to become good people.
Please feel free to call or text me with any questions or concerns.
Again, welcome to our fRAMily! I look forward to working with you to rebuild our program.
