Members of the Rensselaer City School District Community:
Tuesday is the first day of school, and we are all thrilled to see the kids!
Most of the last minute questions have revolved around:
1) Schedule (Can be found in SchoolTool)
2) Transportation (VRES & JrSr High schedules are posted. Individual stops can be found in SchoolTool) If you still have questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
4) What COVID-19 related processes are in place (Mostly outlined in the interim guidance.)
**Please remember that students must be masked to board a bus and to enter the school building. The bus drivers and aides that are greeting the students should have spares for students that forget.
All of this information and more can be found on our Welcome Back page.
We know that some people still have questions. Thanks for your flexibility and patience. Know that all buses pick up in the same timeframe, so as long as you are at your stop early, a bus should stop to bring the kids in. There will inevitably be some confusion and minor issues for us to smooth out and correct. This happens every year as families move in and out and as we experience staff turnover.
Don’t forget to visit MySchoolBucks.com to register for Chromebooks for all students in grades 5-12. Specific instructions are available on our Welcome Back page. Many students still have not signed up yet. We will hold a Chromebook help night on Tuesday from 5pm – 6:30pm outside of the Auditorium entrance for anyone having difficulty signing up online.
We will settle in quickly and have an awesome year!
