Transportation, Menu Change, and COVID-19 Update

Members of the Rensselaer City School District Community:

GOOD NEWS!  Our transportation should run on a normal schedule for the rest of the week.  Thanks to everyone for your patience and understanding.

A special thanks to our drivers for being flexible and creative in an effort to continue transporting our students.  If you see a driver, please thank them.

We will be changing the menu for lunch on Thursday. Instead of chicken, gravy and mashed potatoes, we will be having Wild Mike’s Pizza bites and assorted fries.

We will be moving the chicken & gravy to the following Monday (it will be noted on November’s menu). The change is a result of staff shortages.  As with the drivers, if you see a food service worker, please thank them for keeping our students fed with about half of the staff out.

In the past two days, the district has been notified of four more students from various grades that tested positive.  We also have been notified of an additional staff member that has tested positive.

Remember to send students to school with a mask and to keep the kids home if they have any signs or symptoms of COVID-19. We will get through this together.
