Transportation Delays

Members of the Rensselaer City School District Community:

In the past week, we have been fortunate to experience fewer COVID-19 cases.  Hopefully this is a new trend for the city.

With that said, we anticipate this will be a very difficult week concerning transportation.  We are short several drivers for various reasons.  Our transportation department is working hard to be creative and prevent us from pivoting to remote instruction.

If you see a bus driver, BE SURE TO THANK THEM.  They are working harder than ever.

Buses may not be on time Monday morning. Specifically G & E buses are anticipated to be late.  Thank you for your patience and understanding while our understaffed transportation team does their best to keep our kids in school.

The district has been notified of one staff member that tested positive.  Please remember to send students to school with a mask and to keep the kids home if they have any signs or symptoms of COVID-19. We will get through this together.
