Members of the Rensselaer City School District Community:
This is a reminder that on Friday (11/4), we will be exercising our new evacuation drill. This drill will require parents and community members to stay off school property after 1:20pm and to follow specific instructions for parent pick-up procedures.
 JrSr High Parents: Busses should be dropping students off approximately 25 minutes early. Walkers and students that drive will be dismissed about 25 minutes early. Parents that pick up students should park along 9th St. and your students will meet you there around 2:10 – 2:15pm. |
 VRES Parents:Busses should be dropping students off between 10 and 25 minutes early. Walkers (we only have a handful) will be transported back to the walker zone to walk home. Pre-K parent pickup will begin around 2:10pm at St. John’s church. K-5 pickup will be from 2:30pm to 2:45pm at St. John’s church. Please: 1) Enter on Wendell St. ONLY 2) Follow directions from the police directing traffic 3) Stay in your vehicle 4) Do not arrive early

If this situation changes your need for a student to ride a bus or get picked up, please notify the respective office as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly. Our school office phones will be forwarded to remote command centers so that we can still answer any questions.
