Fall Sports

Fall sports start in just under one week! If you have signed up already please make sure you are getting your paperwork returned to our nurses office asap. If you have not signed up for a sport, but wish to do so, you need to do that now with the nurse's office.  Tammy Slingerland is our school nurse and her email is tslingerland@rcsd.k12.ny.us. Anyone who has signed up or is going to sign up must have an up to date school physical on file with the health office. Up to date is since August 1 of last year (2022) Anyone who has not had one since before August 1 of 2022, will need to get a new one before you can start practice. 

** Here are the practice dates and times for the start of the fall season:

Varsity Football  -  First Practice: August 19   9-10:30am (This Saturday!)          Practice times for the rest of the first week:   August 21-26     8-11:30am   (meet @ HS Boys Team Room)

JV & Varsity Girls Volleyball  -  First Practice: August 21    Practice times for first week   August 21-26    8-10am  (meet in main gym)

Varsity Girls Soccer  -  First Practice: August 21    Practice times for first week    August 21-26    9am-12pm  (meet @ soccer field)

Varsity Cross Country  -  First Practice: August 21     Practice times for the first week     August 21-26    9-10:30am  (meet @ HS track)

Varsity Cheer  -  First Practice: August 28        Practices for the first week   August 28-August 31  3:15-5:15pm  (meet @ HS track)

Boys Soccer(merged team with Doane Stuart)  - First Practice: August 21     Practice times for the first week     August 21-25   3-5pm (behind DS) 

Modified Football  -  First Practice:  August 24     Practice for the first week   August 24-26   9-11am  (meet @ boys locker room)

Modified Cross Country  -  First Practice: August 28   Practices for the first week   August 28-September 1     9-10:30am  (meet @ HS track)

Modified Girls Soccer  -  First Practice: August 28    Practice for the first week   August 28-September 1  (times TBA - Coach Caywood will contact anyone that has signed up)

 

** Weight room workouts will continue on Tuesday and Thursday from 9-11am this week. Once fall sports start, teams may occasionally lift during practice, but the weightroom will not be open for open workouts again until after school starts.
