Members of the Rensselaer City School District Community,
As we enter the final week of September, we have a lot of great things going on at school! First, I’d like to thank parents, students, and staff for an awesome start to the year. Our attendance is the best it has been in years. Our discipline issues have reduced significantly. Smiles and positivity are abundant in the building. It just feels good, and that makes for a productive learning environment.
We have shared an opportunity for students in grades 2-5 to sign up for a FREE 6-week after school Karate program starting next week. Please contact the VRES office to sign up this week.
All week is Spirit Week! Let's have some fun!
On Tuesday, our varsity soccer team will host Catskill at 5:30pm.
On Wednesday, we have our VRES open house from 6:30pm to 8pm. This is a great opportunity to stop in and speak with the teachers and to see what is going on. We will have several tables set up in the lobby such as CYO basketball sign up and a technology help desk to help parents with our new district-wide messaging system or to help get student Chromebooks. Please stop by! Our varsity volleyball team will also host Germantown at 5pm.
On Thursday, our modified soccer team will host Maple Hill at 4:30pm. We will also hold the 2nd annual Ram Pride Ride & Pep Rally at 6:15pm.
On Friday, our varsity soccer team will host Hudson at 4:30pm and Our varsity football team will host Taconic for the HOMECOMING GAME! We will have the homecoming dance on Saturday at 7pm. Don’t forget that the VRES book fair will be NEXT WEEK.
Let’s have an awesome week together! #fRAMily
