Summer is winding down. Our faculty and staff are in the building this week to train, team, and prepare for the students to return in one week on Tuesday, 9/3 for the 2024-25 school year.
We hope you enjoy the last week of summer. Plenty of questions are coming in about supply lists, bus schedules, and Chromebook insurance. We have updated the Welcome Back page to answer all of those questions in one place. It can also be found on the green banner at the top of our website.
Please be sure to read the principals’ letters closely for instructions.
Some of the common mistakes or frustrations every year that I’d like to highlight so that everyone can start the year smoothly:
Be sure to contact the VRES office to make sure your student is listed as a walker or parent pickup. Each year, they are assigned buses so that we have enough seats. If you don’t tell the office, the kids will be on the assigned bus on the first day.
JrSr High parents - be sure to fill out the Chromebook insurance/waiver information ASAP to ensure that your student has a device to start the school year. If you don’t fill it out, they will not be distributed.
JrSr High parents - just a reminder that we will be implementing Yondr pouches for phones once they are delivered to the school. Mr. Pittaniello has sent out information about this effort.
Make sure you are getting all of the school communications by signing up for texts, by downloading the Rensselaer CSD App, and by making sure we have the correct email address for you.
