This annual event, hosted by New York State at the Empire State Plaza, It’s a powerful way for students K-12 to reflect on Dr. King’s legacy through his Six Principles of Nonviolence:

  1. Nonviolence is a way of life for courageous people
  2. Seeks to win friendship & understanding
  3. Seeks to defeat injustice, not people
  4. Holds that suffering can educate & transform
