Celebrating Innovation in the Library!

Posted Date: 02/25/26 (02:07 PM)

Mrs. McNamara’s library classes have been diving deep into Black History Month by exploring the incredible stories of pioneers and inventors!

Our students read:

  • The Story of Ruby Bridges
  • Saving the Day: Garrett Morgan's Life-Changing Invention of the Traffic Signal
  • Have You Thanked An Inventor Today?
  • Mr. Crum's Potato Predicament
After learning about these world-changing contributions, students got creative by coloring in lightbulbs, stoplights, ice cream, potato chips, and other inventions created by Black inventors. It was a wonderful way to connect history with the everyday items we use!

Way to go, young historians and future inventors!
