Every Wednesday, a wonderful collaboration takes place at Van Rensselaer Elementary! Mrs. Goodwin and Mrs. Gillis partner with Literacy Volunteers of Rensselaer County to provide invaluable one-on-one reading time for the children in Mrs. Gillis' class.

To celebrate Read Across America Week, the students created handmade cards to thank our dedicated volunteers for fostering such a deep love and appreciation for reading. These "Wednesday Reading Buddies" have truly made a lasting impact on our students' literacy journey!
