Dear Grades 3-8 Families,

As a reminder, annual New York State Education Department 3-8 assessments in ELA, math and science begin next week. These assessments, as part of the district’s comprehensive assessment program, are designed to provide information about a student’s proficiency in the grade level standards. For ELA and math, all students in grades 3-8 will take computer-based assessments. The grade 5 and grade 8 science assessments are also computer-based. Dates are listed below.   

Please make sure that your child brings their Chromebook with them to school, fully charged, each day of testing.

All assessments are computer-based. Test make-ups continue through May 15, 2026.
