In recognition of May as Mental Health Awareness Month, the Rensselaer City School District is proud to highlight the expanding impact of Project AWARE, our Pupil Personnel Department, and our vital community partnerships.
Statewide Video Premiere Event Yesterday, students and staff from Project AWARE celebrated the premiere of a brand-new Mental Health First Aid promotional video. This project was developed in collaboration with the Mental Health Association of New York State (MHANYS) and the New York State Office of Mental Health.
The premiere featured distinguished guest speakers, including Dr. Anne Sullivan (Commissioner of the NYS Office of MentalHealth), Glen Liebmann (CEO of MHANYS), RCSD student Paige Lawson., and Project AWARE representatives Jan Zadoorian and Ryan Kelly. We extend our congratulations to the students: Paige Lawson, Christian Dupree, Aven Nadeau, Kylee Munguia, and staff highlighted in the final video: Ryan Kelly, and Jan Zadoorian. We also wanted to thank our mascot, Adrina Fisk.
Thank you to everyone involved for shining a light on student wellness and representing Rensselaer so beautifully across New York State!
