Van Rensselaer Elementary Celebrates Another Successful Field Day
Yesterday marked the return of the annual Van Rensselaer Elementary Field Day, organized by Coach Bailey and his dedicated team of assistants. Students from Pre-K through 6th grade enjoyed a beautiful day of friendly competition, teamwork, and outdoor activities.
An event of this scale requires extensive preparation, and we would like to recognize Coach Bailey and Mr. Martyn, who arrived at campus at 6:00 AM yesterday morning to coordinate the layout and ensure everything was fully prepared for the students' arrival.
The campus was packed with high-energy stations designed for all grade levels, including a massive inflatable obstacle course, tug-of-war, the pizza dash, a tire roll, a spoon walk, field hockey, soccer target shooting, and basketball contests.
We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to our wonderful high school student volunteers who stepped up to man each of the activity stations. Their leadership, enthusiasm, and support of our elementary students were vital to the success of the event.
Thank you to Coach Bailey, Mr. Martyn, our physical education staff, our classroom teachers, and the many volunteers who helped out in any capacity at our tents to support our students throughout the day. Field Day 2026 was a true community success!
More photos will be coming out tomorrow. Check out our video: Check out our slideshow to view all the pictures from today.
