Community Announcement: Juneteenth Youth Freedom Crawl on Friday, June 19th
Local youth-lead organizations, in partnership with the City of Troy, invite community families to participate in the upcoming Juneteenth Freedom Crawl on Friday, June 19, 2026.
This family-friendly event features five community checkpoints, each offering unique youth-centric activities, refreshments, and entertainment. Attendees will receive a stamp at each location; collecting stamps from all five stops enters participants into a grand prize drawing.
Freedom Crawl Route & Schedule:
10:00 AM – 12:30 PM | Stop 1: Shades of Cocoa Inc. (313 10th Street)
12:00 PM – 3:00 PM | Stop 2: Team HERO (2nd Street)
2:00 PM – 4:00 PM | Stop 3: Troy LOOK Inc. (Geneva Pompey Park)
4:00 PM – 6:00 PM | Stop 4: Fifth Avenue AME Zion Church
6:00 PM | Stop 5: Polished (112th St Park)
Admission is free and open to all area residents looking to honor this important historic milestone.
