George Krause Captures 2nd Place Finish at NYS Outdoor Track & Field Championships

The Rensselaer City School District is thrilled to announce that senior standout George Krause achieved a podium finish at the NYSPHSAA Outdoor Track and Field State Championships in Rochester this weekend.
Competing against the top athletes in New York, George successfully cleared 14 feet in the pole vault event. This exceptional performance earned him the State Silver Medal with a 2nd place finish in Division 2/Class C. Additionally, George finished the tournament tied for 14th overall in the entire state of New York across all school divisions.
This state podium finish marks the conclusion of a historic senior campaign for George, who also captured a Section 2 title and broke the district's pole vault record this season. We commend George for proudly representing the Rams on the state stage, and we congratulate him on an unforgettable high school athletic career.
