Rensselaer CSD Expresses Gratitude to Backpack Program Team and Retiring Staff

As we conclude the academic year, the Rensselaer City School District would like to formally recognize and thank the dedicated staff and students who facilitate our weekly Backpack Program, ensuring local families receive essential nutritional support.

Our sincere appreciation goes to Mrs. Britton-Smith, Mrs. Shanahan, Mrs. Hilstro, and the students in their CDOS class. Each week, this team works diligently to carefully pack and deliver food bags to be sent home with students. We also extend a special thank you to Mrs. McNamara for her vital logistical support in coordinating and picking up food allocations from the Regional Food Bank each week.

Celebrating Our Retirees:The district would like to specifically highlight the multi-year commitment of Mrs. Shanahan and Mrs. Hilstro to the success of the Backpack Program. Their care, organization, and dedication have left a lasting positive impact on our school community. As they prepare for their upcoming retirement, we thank them for their years of service and wish them the absolute best in the future.
