Welcome Back

Members of the Rensselaer City School District Community,

It’s that time of year again!  We are all looking forward to getting the #fRAMily back together again for the 2026-27 school year and making this school hum with excitement and activity.  We happily welcome students back on Thursday, 9/3!  

This summer has been especially busy with all of the construction going on.  You can start to see what the building will look like when it gets finished.  Some parts of the project are ahead of schedule, but not all aspects.  We will certainly still have some noise distraction this fall, but less than last spring.

We have updated our Welcome Back page to reflect all of the changes this year.  This is a one-stop to answer all of the questions about returning to school.  Please note that the bus routes will be shared shortly as they are finalized.  Those will remain similar to last year.  We plan to start the school year with a similar one-way traffic pattern by the auditorium that we utilized at the end of last school year.  Officer Roehr will be out there helping to direct traffic.

For anyone that may be struggling with the online insurance process for Chromebooks or that just prefers to do it in person, we will hold a live insurance sign up from 3:45-5:45 (before our board meeting) on Wednesday, 8/23.
