Athletics Rules and Reminders

Here are some updates and reminders about sports here at Rensselaer High School.

* For all home events: 

   -  No students in grade 8 or below are allowed at any home event without an adult with them to provide supervision. Parents and guardians, when you are at an event please make sure you are providing supervision of your child. 
   - Please be respectful of players, coaches, officials, school chaperones and other spectators at all times.
   - We want everyone to come out and support our teams. Please be loud and proud of our teams, but respect everyone else who is at the event.

* Winter sports sign-ups begin this week in the school health office. Please see nurse Tammy Slingerland (tslingerland@rcsd.k12.ny.us) to pick up an eligibility packet and return it to her once completed. All students must have an up to date physical on record at school in order to participate.

*There will be a homecoming parade once again this year celebrating our varsity athletes at RHS. The homecoming parade will take place on Thursday, October 1, 2026. Details are on the attached flyer.
