8th Grade Art & FACS Collaboration: "From Sketch to Stove"

Eighth-grade students in Mrs. Kent’s and Mrs. Mahar’s classes recently participated in an exciting interdisciplinary project titled "From Sketch to Stove!".   

Combining visual art and Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS), this collaborative unit challenged students to bridge visual design with culinary arts. Students in Mrs. Kent’s class created artistic poster representations, and both classes subsequently collaborated to prepare and cook the designs into completed entrées.   

On Wednesday, October 21st at 12:20 PM, students hosted teachers and peers in the art room for a presentation and tasting event celebrating a display of both artwork and finished dishes.
